Good afternoon/night/morning! (We don't even know what day it is quite yet)
The flight was long but really not that bad. I strategically continued to play 3 hour movies (The Hobbit, LOTR, Prisoners, etc..) to make the time go by but I didn't even finish one with out falling asleep - thanks mom and dad for the neck pillow! Australia is definitely the easiest country to travel to. Our visa is stored through our passport electronically, and we didn't have to speak to even one customs officer because we have e-passports apparently, cheers! We hopped in a cab to our hotel, The Great Southern Hotel, stored our luggage and walked down to the harbor. Mind you, it was only 7am so nothing was open but we got to the Harbor area around 8am and a small flea market was open and some really cute cafes. We mostly walked around the area and eventually went to the Opera House for a tour. It was really cool, but we really knew nothing about it and were surprised to learn how recently it was constructed and how modern it is. We'll definitely go back over there for NYE and maybe brunch at one of the cafes.
Our tour ended around 11:30am (approx. 7:30pm Ohio time) and we were beginning to crash physically and were starving. We went on a one hour mission to find Nando's and finally succeeded. Kendall finally had her very first meal at Nando's and I documented it of course. It was amazing, per usual! We made it back to the hotel and made no hesitation to jump into our beds! Ah, the joys of being able to sleep horizontally again! It's only 4pm here but we are calling it a day and resting up for in attempt to adjust fully to the time difference for the rest of the trip.
Tomorrow we are planning to venture to Darling Harbor and check out the aquarium and anything else around. FYI to our moms and dads and anyone else, we have WiFi at our hotel so feel free to e-mail/Facebook us!
p.s. The GoPro vlogging was a fail today but hopefully we'll have a video tomorrow!
